Trata-se do peso determinado para um &aacute;tomo, como eles s&atilde;o muito pequenos, sua massa &eacute; desprez&iacute;vel em rela&ccedil;&atilde;o ao padr&atilde;o de gramas.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para determinar esse valor, foi estabelecido que a parte mais not&aacute;vel em peso &eacute; o n&uacute;cleo at&ocirc;mico. Ent&atilde;o, a massa de um &aacute;tomo diz respeito dos pr&oacute;tons e n&ecirc;utrons, que s&atilde;o as estruturas nucleicas.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Novamente, para tornar os n&uacute;meros mais tang&iacute;veis, os cientistas padronizaram uma unidade de massa at&ocirc;mica (u). O ponto de partida para essa grandeza &eacute; o <span id=\"urn:enhancement-24d84ca2-bbb8-43c6-b3c9-57af779d7159\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-creative-work\" itemid=\"https:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl110249\/entity\/carbono\">carbono<\/span>-12, foi determinado que sua massa &eacute; de 12u. Abaixo, voc&ecirc; encontra um resumo das massas at&ocirc;micas dos elementos j&aacute; descobertos.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-massa-molecular-mm\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Massa-molecular-MM\"><\/span>Massa molecular (MM)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uma vez que cada &aacute;tomo possui um valor de massa, toda mol&eacute;cula tamb&eacute;m possuir&aacute; massa, afinal, uma mol&eacute;cula &eacute; a jun&ccedil;&atilde;o entre &aacute;tomos, de <a href=\"https:\/\/vestibulares.estrategia.com\/portal\/materias\/quimica\/elementos-quimicos-2\/\">elementos qu&iacute;micos <\/a>iguais e\/ou diferentes. Para essa quantifica&ccedil;&atilde;o, foi criado o conceito de massa molecular (MM).<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A massa molecular &eacute; a soma das MA de todos os &aacute;tomos presentes na mol&eacute;cula. Ent&atilde;o, se houver mais de um &aacute;tomo do mesmo elemento, &eacute; preciso multiplicar pelo &iacute;ndice num&eacute;rico da mol&eacute;cula.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por exemplo, na mol&eacute;cula de MgCl<sub>2<\/sub>:<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(MA<sub>Mg<\/sub>) + 2.(MA<sub>Cl<\/sub>)<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">24 + 35 = 59 u (note que a unidade utilizada &eacute; &ldquo;u&rdquo;)<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-massa-molar-m\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Massa-molar-M\"><\/span>Massa molar (M)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outra vez, os cientistas notaram que a massa at&ocirc;mica &eacute; um valor muito pequeno quando comparado ao conjunto de mol&eacute;culas estudadas. Ent&atilde;o, um novo conceito foi adicionado aos c&aacute;lculos qu&iacute;micos: a <a href=\"https:\/\/vestibulares.estrategia.com\/portal\/materias\/quimica\/massa-molar\/\" target=\"_blank\">massa molar<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ent&atilde;o, M &eacute; a grandeza que caracteriza a massa presente em 1 <span id=\"urn:enhancement-8499d0c3-a584-47ed-82b4-85e61fc283cf\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"https:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl110249\/entity\/mol\">mol<\/span> de uma entidade <span id=\"urn:enhancement-7aedbd63-43ee-4d9e-b19a-35d8b4a8e688\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"https:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl110249\/entity\/quimica\">qu&iacute;mica<\/span>.
